About Me

Michelle PT Edmonton

Hi, I’m Michelle.

I’ve been working with clients for the past 10 years teaching movement proficiency to help increase performance, develop strength and mobility, and decrease chronic pain. My years of experience and continued education has allowed me to develop a keen eye for biomechanics and compensations. I use a science based approach to develop appropriate exercise programs to achieve a wide variety of goals.

I work with a vast clientele – general population to Olympians. I thoroughly enjoy teaching dedicated individuals efficient, effective, and balanced ways to move their bodies. In addition to working with clients out of Forward Motion, I am also the head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Olympian Swim Club.

Education

  • Bachelor of Physical Education & Recreation (University of Alberta)

Certifications

  • National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) – Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)

  • Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) – Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)

  • Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C)

Outside of training, I’m passionate about exploring nature – both locally and around the world (when we can). My dog Maverick and I are often on the search for a new quiet trail around the city or in the mountains. I also train dressage with my horse Laddy. In between these hobbies, I enjoy good coffee and delectable food with my husband Keal.
